Buckets, Badges and Baskets, Among Other Things

Tanner loves putting the bucket on his head and walking around.

This is an outfit Joey wore when he was 2. Tanner's just 16 months.

Handsome Josiah.

Before his haircut.

TaeKwonDo

He loves his Backyard Safari vest, badges and missions. He has the gear and everything. It's his favorite thing to do. He's too young for the cub scouts, so this is tiding him over till he's 6 and can join the scouts.

Once he got the Backyard Safari vest for his birthday, he gave Tanner his old hiking vest.

Tanner loves emptying baskets and containers, and getting inside.

We went to a pool the other day (the day of the earthquake). Joey had a blast. Tanner was a lot of work: in and out of the pool, fearless, wanting to jump in off the sides without help.

Look at Joey's pose above! I don't think he was posing at all. I just happened to catch him in this stance. I think it's hilarious. Like a little GQ model.

One lazy moment. They never last long. Tanner is up immediately running around and making messes.

Tanner is so affectionate. He loves kissing and hugging on people, especially Joey.

We had to drain the big pool because we couldn't find the filters anywhere for the pump and the water got gross. The boys seem perfectly happy with the tiny pool. They're saying "Score!"

Tanner loves helicopters and airplanes in the sky.

Joey got a desk for his room. He loves it!

Hurricane Irene hit us last night. It didn't do any damage except a few branches in the back yard. This one was a very big one. Glad it wasn't closer to the house.

Tanner now says Maw-Maw and Paw-Paw. He and Joey also love running around the house chasing each other. I love that Joey still wants to play with Tanner. He's practically counting the days till they can share a room together.
Right now Tanner is obessed with making us put his shoes on and off, on and off, on and off. Socks too.
